There is nothing like summer and getting ready for school that makes me smile. I still remember going to pick out my clothes for the fall and school supplies. It always was a magical time. My oldest is heading into second grade and since she has really made a lot of friends in our town, I am excited for her upcoming year in a way that makes me giddy. She is going to rock first grade!!! I have signed her up for some activities but unfortunately her dad is not on the same page. It breaks my heart to think of her never being able to fully participate in something because her dad does not want to take her on his time. What can I do? It is so hard to think that she will never be able to fully participate in things full time. Will she feel different? Why cant he see that this is about her and not us?
